PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image recording apparatus which can always carry out image recording of a high image quality by making uniform between nozzles to be used and nozzles not to be used. SOLUTION: The image recording apparatus is equipped with a plurality of recording heads 14 where a plurality of the nozzles 15 are arranged along a width direction of a recording medium P. The image recording apparatus records an image onto the recording medium P by discharging ink onto the recording medium P with the use of the nozzles 15 in a fixed range of the recording heads 14 on the basis of image recording information. The nozzles 15 are formed in a range wider than a width of the recording medium P. At the same time, a control part 19 is set for controlling the recording heads 14 to change the range of the nozzles 15 to be used for recording for every image recording or for every predetermined number of times of image recording.
