FASTENER FOR BRASSIERES

A fastener for a brassiere is disclosed, and comprises a strap having first (34) and second (37) sides. Rungs (35) spaced from one another along the strap are attached to the first side (34), and a hook (36) is attached to the second side (37). The hook (36) is engageable with each of the rungs (35), the sensitiveness of the fastener being determined by the selected rung (35) to be engaged by the hook (36). The two sides of a brassiere strap are coupled by pulling the first and second sides (34, 37) towards each other such that the one hook (36) slides over the upper surface of the rungs (35), selecting a desired rung (35) for the hook (36), and engaging the hook (36) with the selected corresponding rung (35) along any region of the length of the selected rung (35). A method for assembling such a fastener is also disclosed.
