<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information collecting method and its system for acquiring information generated from peripheral equipment such as a printer, on a maker side. <P>SOLUTION: If an event occurs at the peripheral equipment such as a printer, information related to the event is notified to a host device such as a PC to manage the peripheral equipment. The host device processes the information acquired from the peripheral equipment into an e-mail and transmit it to a Web server collecting the information.
