<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor drive controller that can suppress torque pulsations in a brushless DC motor, without fail, and thus allows vibration and noise to be reduced in a compressor, without fail. <P>SOLUTION: A torque current component Iq is detected from a current passed through a brushless DC motor 10. The amount of correction on the torque of the brushless DC motor 10 is determined according to the torque current component Iq.
