<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To evaluate a heating performance of an electric heating heater in an air-fuel ratio sensor with high accuracy. <P>SOLUTION: This inspection apparatus consists of a temperature detecting section 22 for detecting temperatures or the typical temperature of the electric heating heater 14 mounted in the air-fuel ratio sensor for an internal combustion engine 12; a resistance detecting section 20 for detecting the resistance of the electric heating heater 14; and an evaluation section 24 for evaluating heating performance of the electric heating heater 14 based on temperatures or its typical temperature detected by the temperature detecting section 22 and the resistance detected by the resistance detecting section 20. A temperature rise in the electric heating heater 14 caused by ambient embironment heating or its own heat generation is restrained, thus evaluation accuracy is improved. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
