<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To precisely classify text data according to categories and to efficiently and precisely define each category for executing the classification. <P>SOLUTION: This information classification device for classifying text data according to categories includes a text analysis means 11 that creates word information and modification information from the text data taken in; and a data classification means 12 that classifies the text data according to categories on the basis of the word information and the modification information included in the text data and classification dictionary data stored in a classification dictionary storage means.
