<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly restart reproduction and the like of already read sound when reading is started in the next time. <P>SOLUTION: When it is in a reading mode while the electronic book 100 is closed (S11 and S12; Y), a reproduction restarting position serving as a restarting position for voice output of reading data in the following reading mode is decided to be stored in a control part 7 (S13). The reproduction restarting position is a point backing by a predetermined time or by a predetermined units from point in which the reading voice is reproduced when the electronic book 100 is closed. If the reproduction restarting position is stored in the control part 7 (S18; Y) when the electronic book 100 is opened again (S16; Y), voice output of the reading data is started from the reproduction restarting position (S19).
