<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a network-based data distribution system, of which the cost effect is high and which is not complicated. <P>SOLUTION: The network-based data distribution system comprises a physical layer device connected to a network processor which operates at layers higher than a data link layer. The physical layer device can be established so that an interface can be taken via a physical layer link, corresponding to two or more destination devices. The physical layer device receives data traffic from the network processor.
