PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid jet apparatus which can be downsized by enhancing a degree of freedom in design, and which can increase a liquid capacity. SOLUTION: A storage recess 21 is formed in a main body case 12 of a printer 11 by recessing two continuous surfaces, that is, a bottom surface 12b of the case 12 and a back surface 12a thereof. When an ink cartridge 15 is housed in the storage recess 21 and connected to a connecting member 18, a bottom surface of an ink case 38 is made almost flush with the bottom surface 12b of the case 12, and an opening on the side of the bottom surface 12b is closed. Additionally, a lid part 42 of the ink case 38 is made almost flush with the back surface 12a of the case 12, and an opening (insertion opening 21a) on the side of the back surface 12a is closed.
