PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain consistency of reproductions with data that a computer which does not assign a write time to write data has written in a storage system, in a system where a storage system stores data that a computer uses, and the storage system transfers the data to another storage system where the reproductions of the data are retained. SOLUTION: In this system, when a write time has been assigned to a write request, a first storage system records the write time, and assigns this write time to the write data received. When a write time has not been assigned, the first storage system assigns the recorded write time to the write data received, and transfers the write data with the write time to another storage system.
