PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely lower rigidity of a skirt part of a piston. SOLUTION: In piston structure of an engine, the skirt part 1b continuous to a land part 1a in which an oil ring groove 4 is formed at a lowermost position of an outer periphery of a cylinder, and extending on a lower side in a piston sliding direction. A slit 5 is extended in a radial direction and a lower side of the oil ring groove 4, the wall thickness of the skirt part 1b under the slit 5 is thinner in a radial direction than the wall thickness forming the oil ring groove 4 above the slit 5.
