PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyester film excellent in formability, hardly suffering from stains on the contact surface of a plug-assist apparatus at the time of forming, excellent in oil resistance, heat resistance and flavor-retaining property and suitably laminatable on trays, containers or the like made of the other materials. SOLUTION: The polyester unstretched film is obtained by molding a polyester resin composition mainly comprising 99-90 wt% of a polyester resin whose main recurring unit is ethylene terephthalate and 1-10 wt% of a polyolefin resin, and has a thickness of 5-100μm, a copolymerized diethylene glycol content of 0.5-3.0 mol%, a cyclic trimer content of at most 0.50 wt% and an amount of 50% ethanol extract of at most 1 mg/100 cm<SP>2</SP>.
