PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable executing facsimile transmission using a different communication line without instructing by a user in a facsimile machine in which a communication error occurs, if the communication error occurs in the facsimile transmission processing in the facsimile machine connected to a LAN. SOLUTION: A main control unit 201 of the facsimile machine 120 executes a job for transmitting image data by facsimile to a predetermined destination using a fax modem 210 via a public telephone line L10. When the job is executed and if communication error occurs at only the predetermined times, e.g. 1-5 times and transmission cannot be performed, the main control unit 201 transfers the data of the job including information of the image data and the destination to the facsimile server apparatus 20 via a LAN 70, and controls the apparatus 20 to execute the job via a public telephone line L different from the telephone line L10 and the Internet 90.
