<p>Disclosed are a data input apparatus for allowing users to conveniently and rapidly input data (characters, numbers, symbols, etc.) therethrough and a data input method using the same. The data input apparatus includes a slide panel unit (320) moving from a predetermined standard point in a direction among shaped directions by a user's manipulation, and a guide panel unit (330) for creating code signals corresponding to position values according to the movement of the slide panel unit (320). The apparatus and method cause codes in unlimited numbers to be created, are extensively applied to varying environments, allow users to easily learn how to manipulate, to rapidly input data therethrough, and to input letters and symbols without conversion from a character (Korean, English, Japanese, etc.) input mode to a symbol (,, ., % etc.) input mode.</p> |
