The device has a short liner blister (2) mounted on a carriage with a hinged joint. The blister is lifted by a pneumatic lifting arm (3) that is provided between the blister and the carriage. The blister is blown up by a compressed air connection (6) found on the joint such that a glass fiber laminate is pressed on a pipe wall. Tension springs (8) that provide compensation for expansion and heating units are fixed in the blister.
