<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem of user's motion image in the portable telephone 10 having a function serving as a television telephone, in which an arrangement location of a CCD camera 38 for photographing user's motion image is dislocated by a length L from a center BC of LCD 34 for displaying the motion image, and user's face of the motion image displayed on a self-display unit 34b of the LCD 34 and on the LCD of communication partner's portable telephone is dislocated by a length corresponding to the length L from the center of the image. <P>SOLUTION: As to each original image photographed by the CCD camera 38, a partial image with a size smaller than an original image is so extracted from the original image that user's face is located at the center of the partial image. A motion image made up of two or more obtained partial images is displayed on the self-display unit 34b of the LCD 34, and the motion image is transmitted to the communication partner's portable telephone. The position of extraction of the partial image from the original image is adjusted by operation of the keypad 22 of the user or an image recognition process (automatic adjustment), which is implemented by software.
