<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data processing system, a data processing direction apparatus and a computer program that can effectively use a data protection capacity of a data processing apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: A PC 2 as the data processing direction apparatus acquires state information stored in a communication part 15 of an image recording apparatus 1 as the data processing apparatus. The state information includes information indicating whether protecting means of the image recording apparatus 1 are in operation or not, and according to the state information, the PC 2 determines whether the protecting means for image data are in operation or not in the image recording apparatus 1. If the image data protecting means are in operation, a processing direction for image recording sent by the PC 2 to the image recording apparatus 1 includes a direction for hold processing of storing image data and suspending image recording processing until the user operates the image recording apparatus 1. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
