<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent occurrence of a failure that toner is pressed and hardened and that resupply of the toner can not be performed when a toner container 6 is mounted onto a housing 8. <P>SOLUTION: When the toner container 6 is mounted onto the housing 8 of a developing device 2, a developing room shutter 88 is moved to an opened position from a closed position. When the toner container 6 is removed from the housing 8, the developing room shutter 88 is moved back to the closed position from the opened position. A toner loosening member 99 is arranged to the developing room shutter 88.
