<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that synchronization words cannot be encoded in the case of an LDPC code since a decoding block is set on the basis of the synchronization words although stable frame synchronism is obtained by encoding even the synchronization words and performing error correction on a decoding side when an information word series is encoded into a code word series into which the synchronization words are inserted. <P>SOLUTION: A modulation part 11 modulates the information word series according to a specified code conversion rule, and a synchronization word insertion part 12 inserts synchronization words, frame by frame. A parity generation/addition part 13 performs encoding using a low-density parity inspection matrix corresponding to an organization code by using a modulated code word series and a synchronization word following it as encoding units. The code word series and synchronization words are left as they are in an encoded data series because of the organization code, and decoding wherein synchronization words are detected by bit correlation comparison becomes possible. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
