<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bracket for orthodontics which enables a smooth movement of teeth without applying great load to the teeth even by a bracket of a synthetic resin, a ceramic, or a metal by enhancing the strength of the portion through which the archwire is passed and by reducing frictional resistance with an archwire. <P>SOLUTION: The bracket for orthodontics has a wire slot 7 with substantially U-shaped cross-section fitted to an archwire insertion passage 4 comprising a rectangular groove with an opening edge 7a directing to the front face side of the bracket body 2 in the bracket body 2, pin passing-through holes 8 passing through the bracket body 2 directing from one groove portion 6a to the other groove portion 6a forming tie wings 6 so as to orthogonally cross a forming direction of the archwire insertion passage 4, and a fixing pin 9 having a coming off preventing member 9a at one end insertably and extractably inserted into the pin passing-through holes 8 for securing the archwire 3 inserted into the wire slot 7. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
