DIVERSITY SWITCH COMBINER, RECEIVER SYSTEM EQUIPPED WITH THE DIVERSITY SWITCH COMBINER, AND METHOD FOR OPERATING WIDEBAND RECEIVER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antenna diversity receiver which is suitable for wideband radio receiving, more particular, suitable for multi-carrier system.

SOLUTION: A diversity switch combiner for use in systems for receiving wideband signals is constituted so that a received signal is split into the respective separate channels which carry the respective frequency bands. A switch means is provided for each of the channels, in order to switch the input of each the channels between different antennas. Switching control is executed during a guard period preferably. Switching setting is determined, on the basis of result of compare performance which compares signal quality over distinct setting.
