PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To keep confidentiality of data, which was received without using a confidential communication facility. SOLUTION: Transmission source information, such as FAX number, transmission destination name and the like, included in received data is collated with transmission source registration information previously stored in a transmission source registration information memory means. According to the collated result, the received data are confidentially stored. The confidentiality of the stored received data is released by entering confidentiality release information (FAX number of transmission source, password or the like), and after that an image according to the received data is generated as a print or generated outside as an output.
