PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve reliability of a balance mechanism for compensating a variation of valve opening force caused by a change of cylinder pressure in a regulator for reducing the pressure of gas fuel in a cylinder to a predetermined positive pressure by a pressure control valve and introducing it into a pressure regulating chamber. SOLUTION: A pressing member 28 movable by a balance diaphragm 19 receiving the cylinder pressure introduced in a pressure chamber 20 is acted on an opposite side of a valve lever 17 across a center of rotation from a valve body of the pressure control valve for compensating the variation of the valve body opening force caused by the change of the cylinder pressure. An annular seal member 32 is fitted on the pressing member 28. When the balance diaphragm 19 is broken, the cylinder pressure of the pressure chamber 20 presses and moves the annular seal member 32 and brings it in press-contact with an annular protrusion 25 of a guide hole 24 so that a peripheral gap 26 of the pressing member 28 is sealed and gas fuel of the cylinder pressure is prevented from directly flowing into the pressure regulating chamber 10.
