PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an additive for civil engineering having salt resistance and to provide a stabilizing liquid. SOLUTION: The additive for civil engineering uses bentonite and at least one kind selected from carboxymethylated guar gum, hydroxypropylated guar gum and carboxymethylated and hydroxypropylated guar gum.
