PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an audio system by which a speaker is protected by setting it at a power-off state at the time of an abnormality of a power amplifier circuit, its cause is stored and the cause of a failure is easily investigated when it is repaired. SOLUTION: The audio system is provided with a DC offset error detection means 4 for monitoring an output signal of the power amplifier circuit and detecting a DC offset error when it is generated, a nonvolatile memory 5 and a notification part 6, when the DC offset error detection part 4 detects the DC offset error, the occurrence of the DC offset error is stored in the nonvolatile memory 5, the audio system is set to the power-off state and when power is applied again, the content stored in the nonvolatile memory 5 is notified by a notification part 6.
