PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a substrate for microchips, in which a background fluorescence value caused by external environments, such as a measuring device, is reduced. SOLUTION: The substrate for microchips is used for capturing a substance to be detected in its surface and for detecting the substance to be detected by fluorescence or emission. The substrate for microchips has both a transparent layer, including the surface for capturing the substance to be detected and a light non-transmitting layer below the transparent layer.
