PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a soundproof engine work machine for enhancing cooling efficiency of oil. SOLUTION: This soundproof engine work machine stores a work machine 2, an engine 3 and a radiator 4 in a soundproof case 1. Outside air introducing ports 11a and 11b are arranged at the bottom of the soundproof case 1 under the engine 3, and outside air introduced from the outside air introducing ports 11a and 11b, is passed through the periphery of an oil pan 3a. An outside air introducing hole 11c is arranged in a protective plate 11. A leg 14 for placing the case is arranged on a bottom wall 1a of the soundproof case 1, and a vertical wall 14a of this leg 14 is opposed to the outside air introducing port 11a. A vertical type engine is used for the engine 3. A radiator fan 6 is arranged in front of a crankcase 7, and a muffler body 8a of an exhaust muffler 8 is arranged in an air blowing position in front of this radiator fan 6.
