PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gravestone with an illuminating function which makes an ordinary gravestone in daytime lit up at night by arranging a solar-battery type illuminating apparatus on a surface or in the stone composing the gravestone, so as to brighten up a graveyard that is liable to have a dark atmosphere. SOLUTION: In the gravestone 1, a stone material on the surface of which a solar battery panel, a lighting part and a light sensor are placed is provided with the solar-battery type illuminating apparatus 2 having the lighting part, the solar battery panel, the light sensor, an electric storage part, a controller and the like.
