PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a welded article which has a press-fitted and welded section with high welding strength formed by comparatively low welding electric current. SOLUTION: The welded article is formed by press-fitting and welding a plate-like member to be welded and a shaft-like member to be welded. The plate-like member to be welded has at least one slotted welding hole consisting of a pair of long sides in one direction and a pair of sides shorter than the long sides and facing each other in the other direction orthogonal to the one direction. The welded article is characterized in that the shaft-like member to be welded is press-fitted and welded into the pair of the short sides of the slotted welding hole, but not welded at the pair of long sides.
