BELT FIXING DEVICE, IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS AND TONER USED IN THE IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent faulty fixing due to deformation of a fixing belt in standby. SOLUTION: In the belt fixing device, a fixing belt 4 is stretched over a fixing roller 1 and a heating roller 2; a tension roller 5 is disposed between the fixing roller 1 and the heating roller 2; tension is applied by pressing the fixing belt 4 from the outside with the tension roller 5, whereby the fixing belt 4 comes in close contact with the heating roller 2 and the fixing roller 1 to constitute a fixing belt loop; and a fixing nip is formed by pressing a pressing roller 8 against part of the fixing belt 4 corresponding to the fixing roller 1. Heat resistant resin of≤90μm is used as a base of the fixing belt 4 and the tension to the fixing belt 4 is adjusted to≤0.49 N/mm. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
