<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catheter kit used for forming the gastrostomy of a living body in which a push method and a pull method can be performed in improved usability while reducing bacterial infection in the site of gastrostomy of the living body. <P>SOLUTION: A tube 12 introducing nutrition from outside a body into a stomach 18 and a tubular sheath 14 covering the tube from outside the tube are inserted together into the stomach 18 through an oral cavity 54 of the living body. The distal end portion 46 of the sheath is broken and cut by the distal end portion 28 of the tube when intending to advance the tube singly after the sheath reaches an insertion limit position, and thereafter the tube advances singly to access a gastrostomy site. Accordingly, the adherence of bacterium of the living body to the tube is prevented by the sheath until the sheath reaches the insertion limit position, therefore the infection of the gastrostomy site with the bacterium is prevented even though the tube reaches and comes into contact with the gastrostomy site. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
