PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce resistance to the insertion of a strap into a head and to increase resistance to the sliding back of the strap from the head. SOLUTION: This high-performance cable tie 10 is provided with a long and narrow strap 15 and a head 42 extended from one end of the strap 15. Each of the strap 15 and a nail tooth is provided with a protrusion for meshing with each other while the strap 15 is inserted in the head 42. Each of the strap 15 and the nail tooth is provided with a flat part for preventing the sliding back of the strap 15 from the head 42 meshing with each other. The strap 15 and the nail tooth have the same longitudinal interval. The surface between the passage exit end and the nail tooth closest to it of the nail is provided with a recess, and as the nail moves in accordance with the sliding back of the strap 15 from the head 42, the recess meshes with the protrusion of a facing strap tooth.
