<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color filter using a resin black matrix and a liquid crystal display with which the problems of the occurrence of display defects, such as the degradation in contrast and afterimages, are substantially obviated. <P>SOLUTION: The color filters which are provided with a black matrix layer formed by dispersing at least light shielding agents into a resin on a transparent substrate, and are provided with a transparent resin layer so as to embed the apertures of the black matrix and are thereafter provided with respective colored layers of three primary colors in the apertures of the black matrix and portions on the black matrix are provided. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
