<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical connector plug and an optical connector increased in safety by easily and surely shutting off the radiation from the optical fiber, and also reduced in cost. <P>SOLUTION: The optical connector plug is provided with a shielding plate 70 which is held to be freely inclined in a plug frame holding hole 21 and of which the tip part is moved from the shielding position up to the non-shielding position, and an operation plate 80 which is held to be freely inclined and is inclined with the shielding plate; when the shielding plate 70 is moved to the shielding position, it is made possible for the plug frame 30 to retreat up to the stowed position where the shielding plate 30 and the operation plate 80 do not interfere with each other; an energization keeping means 90 is arranged to position and energize the shielding plate 70 and the operation plate 80 so that the shielding plate 70 is at the shielding position when the plug frame 30 is moved to a stowed position; and when the plug frame 30 is moved to the tip part side of a plug housing 20, the shielding plate 70 is tilted up to the non-shielding position via the operation plate 80 tilted by the movement of the plug housing 30, and the shielding plate 70 is allowed to move to a photo-coupling position of the plug housing 20. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
