WIRELESS LAN SETTING INFORMATION DIRECTORY SYSTEM, METHOD, AND PROGRAM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a mobile terminal to automatically acquire network setting information corresponding to each access point in order to establish a communication path to each access point needing the network setting information even when the mobile terminal moves. SOLUTION: A control section 21 of the mobile terminal 2 includes: a means for searching a wireless LAN access point 1 at movement or activation of the mobile terminal so as to detect a network identifier of the wireless LAN access point 1; a means for making a request of downloading of the network setting information corresponding to the detected network identifier to a wireless LAN access point 6 or a directory server 3 via a wireless network 902; a means for receiving the downloaded network setting information in response to the request; and a means for using the received network setting information to set a communication path upto the wireless LAN access point 1.
