PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fluorescent display tube capable of enlarging a display area. SOLUTION: Base parts 25a, 26a of filament supports 25, 26 are disposed not on a substrate 11 but along a front glass 12. By the above, the display area of the display tube is enabled to enlarge, since display parts 21 and grids 22 can be disposed in the area in which cathode electrodes are conventionally disposed.
