<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus which is provided with an image forming portion and an image reading portion at the upper part of the image forming portion and where the inside of the image forming portion can be opened. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus has an opening/closing member 6 capable of opening the inside of the image forming portion 2 by turning with the image forming portion 2; the image reading portion 3; and link members 4 and 5 provided with a holding means 4c; and the image reading portion 3 is attached to the image forming portion 2 so as to turn between a 1st position where it is closed to the image forming portion 2 and a 2nd position where it opens the inside of the image forming portion 2. The member 6 is turned by the movement of the link members 4 and 5 interlocked with the turning operation from the 1st position to the 2nd position of the image reading portion 3 so as to open the inside of the image forming portion 2. The image forming apparatus has an energizing means 16 energizing the image reading portion 3 in a turning direction toward the 2nd position from the 1st position, and the image reading portion 3 is turned to a prescribed angle to the 2nd position from the 1st position by the energizing means 16 by releasing the fixing of a fixing means 8 by a release means 10. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
