PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a counter that is small in size, operationally efficient, and moreover inexpensive and simple. SOLUTION: The counter C comprises a box-like counting board 10 substantially longitudinally rectangular in plan form, a mount 20 substantially longitudinally rectangular in planar form for carrying the counting board 10 thereon, and a compressed funneled hopper 30 arranged at a front end of the mount 20. The counting board 10 comprises a storage part 11, a counting part 12, a raised part 13, a handle part 14 and an enclosure part 15. The storage part 11, counting part 12 and raised part 13 are separated from the handle part 14 by a framing edge 10a substantially square in plan form. The storage part 11 is a part for storing many disk-like tablets to be counted. The counting part 12 is a part, arranged in front of the storage part 11 to count the tablets.
