PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inner mold frame enabling the locking force thereof to a concrete placed between the peripheral wall of a tunnel and the inner mold frame and a propulsion method for tunnel boring machine and a tunnel boring machine. SOLUTION: A tilt toward the peripheral wall side of the tunnel is provided, from the front to the rear, to the outer peripheral surface of the inner mold frame S<SB>1</SB>assembled in a ring-shape along the peripheral wall of the excavated tunnel. Since the tilt is provided to the outer peripheral surface of the inner mold frame S<SB>1</SB>, the locking force between the concrete placed on the peripheral wall of the tunnel and the outer peripheral surface of the inner mold frame S<SB>1</SB>and the outer peripheral surface of the inner mold frame S<SB>1</SB>is increased.
