PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite material composed of a surfactant and a nano far infrared material, capable of increasing strength of an artificial resin fiber and capable of adding a far infrared effect to the fiber, and to provide a method for producing the same. SOLUTION: This composite material is composed of the nano far infrared material and the surfactant, wherein the nano far infrared material is formed out of an ore comprising alumina, magnesium oxide, zinc dioxide, and silicon dioxide, and out of zirconium oxide (ZrO<SB>2</SB>).
