PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a high density compact having a density of≥7.35 Mg/m<SP>3</SP>without heating an iron based powdery mixture, and only by controlling surface temperature to about≤80°C regarding a die. SOLUTION: In the iron based powdery mixture obtained by adding graphite powder and a lubricant to iron powder, as the iron powder, the one in which the hardness at the central part is≤75 by micro Vickers hardness Hv is used.
