SEALED DOUBLE-GLAZED UNIT AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealed double-glazed unit capable of keeping seal adhesive power in butting seal processing and a method of manufacturing the same. SOLUTION: The sealed double-glazed unit 1 mainly comprises 2 pieces of plate glass 7 and 8 opposed to each other in parallel through a spacer 10 to provide a tightly closed space 13 between 2 pieces of the plate glass and a primary sealing material 11 filled between the spacer 10 and the plate glass 7 and between the spacer 10 and the plate glass 8. The method of manufacturing the sealed double-glazed unit 1 is carried out by pasting a seal on 4 side surfaces of the plate glass 7, coating a low emissivity transparent laminated body film (LOW-E film) 17 on the inside surface 7a of the plate glass 7 and finally stripping the seal from the sides of the plate glass 7 to keep a state that the LOW-E film 17 is not covered on the end surface 7c of the plate glass 7.
