PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable increase of recovery factor of transportation instruments. SOLUTION: The transportation instrument managing system comprises a device disposed in a transportation instrument for transporting a transported object, a transportation instrument managing server for managing the transportation instrument, a transportation instrument managing database for storing information for managing the transportation instrument, a transportation managing server for managing the transportation, a transportation managing database for storing information for managing the transportation, a terminal which is used by a picking operator, accesses the transportation managing database, and writes the information into the device, a terminal which is used by a transporter, reads or writes information into the device, and accesses the transportation instrument managing database and transportation managing database, and a plurality of reading devices that are disposed in various places in the site of a transportation origin and read information written ino the device.
