PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for inexpensively manufacturing an aluminum-alloy blank material for a magnetic disc which hardly causes clogging of a grinding wheel in grinding and has no fear of corrosion. SOLUTION: In the manufacturing method for an aluminum-alloy blank material for the magnetic disc where hot rolling, cold rolling, punching press, pressed annealing, and grinding are applied to the aluminum-alloy material in those order, a sandblast treatment is applied to the material between after the cold rolling and before the grinding.
