PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a purification method of petroleum contaminated soil capable of purifying, in a shortened time at a low cost, even soil contaminated with heavy oil that is considered to require a long time for purification, by applying a bioremediation method to the contaminated soil causing little environmental load. SOLUTION: In this purification method of petroleum contaminated soil, an oxygen content, temperature and moisture in air present in the contaminated soil are always measured, and controlled to be in given numerical value ranges, respectively.
