WATER TREATMENT METHOD AND WATER TREATMENT APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water treatment method capable of efficiently performing the removal treatment of a nitrogen compound or a phosphorus compound. SOLUTION: A pair of ferrite electrodes 5 and 6 are at least partially immersed in the water to be treated in the treatment chamber 4 of an electrolytic treatment cell 2 and one electrode 5 is used as an anode and the other electrode 6 as a cathode to treat the nitrogen compound and the phosphorus compound in the water to be treated by an electrochemical technique. Further, a heat exchanger 12 is provided as a cooling means for cooling the water to be treated in the treatment chamber 4 to adjust the temperature of the water to be treated to a temperature suitable for electrochemical treatment.
