<p>Fuel injection system comprises a fuel injection valve with an actuator interacting with a valve-closing body (4) that interacts with a valve seat surface to form a sealing seat, and a spray opening (7). A gas is supplied via a gas channel (42) to the fuel downstream of the sealing seat in the fuel injection valve and/or immediately after the spray opening. The gas channel has at least one throttle (40) that limits the gas throughput through the gas channel. Preferred Features: The fuel injection valve operates intermittently. Ambient air is used as the gas. The throttle has the smallest flow cross-section in a gas supply line.</p> |
