<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a remote control system with improved user-friendliness by allowing a user to perform remote controlling of any electronic device in any place without locational restriction. <P>SOLUTION: A control signal sent from a remote controller 4 is converted to an electric signal by an infrared radiation receiving unit 11 of a NIAP 5 receiving light through infrared radiation. The sampling of a wave pattern of the electric signal is performed by an IR control unit 13. Sampling data is converted to a transmission signal format for a wired LAN by a network communication control unit 14, and then transmission data is sent through the wired LAN to another NIAP connectable to the electronic device to be controlled. In this NIAP, the received transmission data is converted to a light emitting pattern signal for the electronic device, which is sent to the electric device through the infrared radiation. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
