<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transmission type liquid crystal display element which is high in contrast and is little in dependence on a visual field angle. <P>SOLUTION: The transmission type liquid crystal display element comprises, successively from a back light side, at least a polarizing plate (A), a uniaxial phase difference film (A), a liquid crystal film (A) obtained by immobilizing nematic hybrid orientation, a twisted nematic liquid crystal cell (B), a liquid crystal film (B) obtained by immobilizing nematic hybrid orientation, a uniaxial phase difference film (B), and a polarizing plate (B). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
