摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve workability of removing a refrigerator and also to minimize the effect on the refrigerator of a magnetic field of main magnets for generating a uniform magnetostatic field space. SOLUTION: A magnet apparatus includes a first and a second cryostat sections 2 and 4 each containing cooling medium 2017 cooled by the refrigerator 14 and a connecting post section 5 that extends between the first and the second cryostat sections for connecting the first and the second cryostat sections to form a space 7 between them. In such a configuration, the uniform magnetostatic field space 8 is generated by the main magnets 1 and 3 contained in the first and the second cryostat sections in the space thus formed. In the magnet apparatus, the refrigerator is installed on a projection plane of the connecting post section in the extending direction and outer region magnetic field canceling magnets 10-13 are installed for generating magnetic fields in the direction to cancel the outer region magnetic fields of the main magnets passing through the refrigerator.
